The park is located south of the Administration Center on our Railer Way site. Built in 2007 though the generosity of the community, the park is open daylight hours 365 days a year. Skaters are encouraged to look after their own safety and the safety of others. The park is unsupervised and admission is free.

Skatepark Rules
  • Open dawn to dusk daily unless otherwise noted.
  • Hours are subject to change due to adverse weather, maintenance, darkness, special events and scheduled activities.
  • All organized events require prior written approval from the Park District.
  • AFTER HOURS USE or USE WHEN CLOSED will result in a trespass citation.
  • Skate at your own risk. Be alert. Watch for flying skateboards.
  • Spectators should watch from outside the perimeter of the skatepark area for safety.
  • Facility is unsupervised and self-policed. Reckless and destructive skating jeopardizes the safety of others.
  • Skateboards and inline-skating only.
  • No bicycles or scooters allowed.
  • Helmets are required at all times.
  • Protective gear (knee pads, elbow pads) is strongly recommended.
  • Inspect the premises before use; snow, ice, rain, litter and debris may affect skating conditions.
  • Report any unsafe conditions to the Park District. (217-732-8770)
  • Do not ride if the surface is wet, it can be EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.
  • Do not use ramps and runs until they are clear of other skaters.
  • Do not skate against traffic.
  • No bumping, fighting or horseplay allowed.
  • Graffiti, tagging and defacing of park will be prosecuted and will close the facility.
  • Waxing of skating surfaces is prohibited.
  • No outside obstacles are allowed to be brought inside the park.
  • No glass containers, food or beverages are allowed in the skatepark area.
  • Alcohol, tobacco products and drugs are prohibited.
  • Profane or abusive language is not allowed.
  • The Park District reserves the right to close the facility at any time, the right to ask persons to leave the facility and to restrict entry to the facility if rules are not observed.
