The 4^th of July Fireworks & Celebration Committee invites you to a 3 piece Fried Chicken fundraiser dinner.  The dinner will be hosted at the American Legion, 1740 Fifth Street.  These delicious meals will be served Friday, July 2 from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m.  Cost is $7.00 per ticket and advanced purchases may be made at Lincoln Park District.  The menu will include potato salad, baked beans, roll and beverage.    All proceeds from the dinner will be used to offset the costs of Lincoln’s fireworks.

On Saturday, July 3rd be a part of our Old-Fashioned Children’s Walking Parade.  Meet us downtown at Scully Park, registration begins at 9:00 a.m., judging at 9:30 and we’ll step off at 10:00 a.m.  The route will go from Scully Park and end at the Lincoln Park District.  After the prizes are awarded stay for our fun filled water balloon fight against the firemen and their firetruck.  We have just under 1000 balloons.  Even the Mayor will be on our team!  We guarantee to send you home good and wet!

Sunday, July 4^th kicks off with Splashapalooza……Games, Prizes and lots of Fun.  We’ll be in the pool and on the deck from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.  We’ll have games for kids of all ages.  That evening beginning around 7:30 p.m. you are invited out to the Park District for our ANNUAL FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA.  DJ Devin Curry will be playing the tunes while you can enjoy a free slice of watermelon.  The American Legion color guard will present the colors at dusk just before the fireworks are set off.
